Migrate

Effortlessly migrate to CultureMonkey from any platform

Your questions, drivers, cadence and segments all come across, and your first survey can go out from a spreadsheet while the HRIS integration is wired up behind it. The one job that stays yours is the export, and it is already on a clock.

An unbroken trend line

Narrows the field before features do
What to ask

Ask how a historical series is handled on day one, and treat a fresh baseline as the answer until someone shows you otherwise.

Raw data you own

Decided by a setting, not by a contract
What to ask

Ask where the export setting lives, whether it can be switched on for surveys that already ran, and what the file actually contains.

What managers see

Judged on two or three views, not a feature matrix
What to ask

Name the views your managers open each cycle, and ask to be shown those exact ones rather than a feature tour.

How fast you can switch

Paced by what has to be re-created by hand
What to ask

Ask what has to be typed back in, who does it, and what has to be ready before the first survey can go out.

Leaving a platform

Sourced to each vendor’s own published documentation.

Can you export your data before leaving an engagement survey platform?
Usually, but it depends on a setting rather than on your contract. Every platform covered in these guides ties raw response export to a choice made before a survey launched. Check that setting for every cycle you care about, because a closed cycle keeps whatever setting it launched with.
How long do you have to export after cancelling?
It depends on the vendor, and there is no single number. Workday publishes a clock: Peakon data is deleted or de-identified no later than six months after the service period ends. Culture Amp says account access ends when your subscription does. Microsoft holds Viva Glint data while the subscription is active.
Will our engagement scores still be comparable?
Expect the number to move for arithmetic reasons before it moves for engagement reasons. A different scale, different question wording, a different question count and a different suppression floor all change an aggregate. Plan to explain the first cycle on the new platform as a new baseline.
Can we keep our existing survey questions?
Yes, but they are re-created rather than imported. There is no bulk question import, so someone types each question in and maps it to a driver so it still rolls up into a score. Budget configuration time if your questionnaire is long or runs in several languages.

Bring your current platform to an export audit.

We will go through what you can still get out of it, which cycles are already closed to export, and what your first cycle looks like on the other side.
